The Cloud Curtain project..
..is a major new initiative examining the myriad impacts of predicted changes in precipitation regime on tropical cloud forests. These ecosystems represent some of the most biologically diverse but poorly understood systems in the world. At a primary forest site in the Peruvian Andes, two separate but inter-linked experimental infrastructures (a cloud reduction experiment, and a rainfall/groundwater flow exclusion experiment) have been installed to study the effects of cloud and rainfall on myriad ecological processes.
